Great place to stop for lunch, the chicken pate with sourdough was lovely, and the pork with padron peppers was mighty. The staff were really friendly and attentive. If all of that isn’t enough to tempt, come and have a look at some great Spanish cinema posters
I had inexplicably never visited before but had been wanting to. Booked a table for the Christmas get-together for me and a couple of friends. We had the early-bird menu; I had the mussels followed by belly pork. Both were superbly cooked. The two people who served us were great fun; the woman in particular (she had an authoritative air: owner? Manager?) was a one-woman ambiance generator. Fabulous all round. I'll definitely be back.
Definitely worth a visit. The manager & staff were very good & lovely in all the right ways. I recommend the Feathered Steak, with Mash, carrots & bourguignon sauce. The Calamari & the Oreo cheesecake. Excellent service & establishment. Very well presented & great atmosphere. Can see why it’s popular. Function room upstairs & toilets were very clean & in good order. They have an eating bar with stools for some extra space if there’s no tables available. I popped in randomly on my way back from The gym & had a very enjoyable meal with great service. Enjoy - worth a visit food made with love.
1st night in salford, and we decided on blacksticks.. I wasn't disappointed.. the food was to die for.. everything from beginning to end was full of flavour.. The steak was cooked perfectly... just amazing in every way.. totally recommend
We found this place by accident while visiting Manchester. The food is of excellent quality. The chilling vibe and well-decorated interior. The staff is accommodating, friendly and provides excellent service. Fish with sauce was melting in my mouth. It was perfection! Highly recommended.
Definitely worth a visit. The manager & staff were very good & lovely in all the right ways. I ordered the Feathered Steak, with Mash, carrots & bourguignon sauce. It was delicious, so much so I forgot to take a picture I enjoyed it so much & I wanted to try something else, so I ordered the Calamari. It was also very tasty. Some nice beers on Tap & the Oreo cheesecake I ordered to finish the meal off was equally delicious as its predecessors. A side of ice cream was a nice accompaniment. My only disappointment was that the cheesecake came in a glass jar & the spoon was big, so it wasn’t easy to get the pudding out. Especially as it was so yummy, I couldn’t help but want to try an get those last bits, but too noisy. I’d have preferred it on a plate or in a ramekin. I feel bad, because I hadn’t bought cash and forgot to tip when I payed on card - I do however hope this review encourages newbies like me to pay a visit. It was a lovely meal & service. Prices were good & the decor was comfortable, interesting & in excellent order. Thank you for a lovely meal & early evening.
